Small business

Web design for small businesses that need it to earn its keep

You do not need a ten-page brand experience. You need a site that tells a customer what you do, why you are credible, and how to contact you — and that loads before they lose interest.

For an owner-run business, a website has one job: turn a search or a recommendation into an enquiry. Every additional page, animation and third-party script is a cost against that job. The best site is usually five clear pages, a strong proof section and a contact route that works on a phone.

We price it plainly because the alternative is a discovery process designed to produce a number. Landing page £495, five pages £995, ten pages £1,495, all plus VAT. The scope is written down before you pay anything, and the code is yours at the end.

The core build

What a five-page site includes

Home

A clear statement of what you do, who for, and where. Proof above the fold, not a stock photo and a slogan.

Services

One page per service where there is enough to say, or a single page with anchors if there is not. Written for a buyer, not for an award jury.

About

A named person, a real photo, relevant experience and the reason the business exists. Trust is built here more than anywhere else.

Work or proof

Two or three examples with the problem and the outcome. If you cannot name the client, we say so and describe the work honestly.

Contact

A form that works, a phone number that rings, opening hours and a service area. No CAPTCHA maze.

The technical layer

Domain, TLS, hosting, sitemap, analytics-free measurement, backup and a written handover.

Questions

The things people ask first

Is a cheap website worth it?

Sometimes. A one-page site that loads quickly and says the right thing beats a £3,000 site nobody maintains. What is rarely worth it is a cheap site built on a builder you cannot leave, with a monthly fee that exceeds the build cost within two years.

Do you write the content?

The five-page tier includes a polish of your draft copy. The ten-page tier includes copywriting from an interview. We will not invent testimonials, clients or results.

Can you work with my existing domain and email?

Yes. We can keep the domain where it is and point it at the new site, and we will not touch your email unless you ask us to.

What if I need changes after launch?

Thirty days of fixes are included. After that, the care plan includes a monthly allowance, or changes are quoted at an hourly rate.
